2010/2011 ANNUAL REPORT: |
This Section transformed The Maryland Entrepreneur’s
Handbook into a Wiki-Books format to be launched this
spring, in conjunction with the business committee of the Bar
Association of Baltimore City. It also advanced legislation
in the General Assembly that will clarify and update the
Maryland General Corporation Law and the Maryland
Limited Liability Company Act. The Section hosted the
Seventh Annual Business Law Institute, featuring eight
continuing legal education panels as well as economist Morris
Segall discussing business in the mid-Atlantic, in April. It
will co-sponsor a program with the Tax Section entitled
“Business of Law Firms – Genesis to Armageddon” at the
MSBA Annual Meeting.
