2009/2010 ANNUAL REPORT:

The ADR Section held a Program Planning Retreat in August, as well as a seminar on Mediator Definitions and the work that the Maryland Conflict Resolution Office is doing to support quality service in the field of ADR in November.

The Section’s Annual Dinner in March featured Professor Erica Fox from Harvard Law School as the keynote speaker, where the Chief Judge Bell Award for Outstanding Performance in the field of ADR was presented. It hosted a seminar on Ethical Considerations in the burgeoning area of collaborative law in April, as well as a webinar on Business ADR 101 geared largely toward Chambers of Commerce from across the state. The Section hosted a program on the new Mediator Evaluation Program being piloted in Baltimore City and Baltimore County Circuit Court ADR Programs at the MSBA Annual Meeting, featuring a keynote address (cosponsored with the Business Law Section and Litigation Section) from Professor Robert Mnookin on his new book, Bargaining with the Devil.External Link
