2009/2010 ANNUAL REPORT:

This Committee undertook two special projects:
1) generating a chart regarding the courts’ acceptance of the MSBA’s bar card, including the necessary steps to obtain a bar card, whether or not the specifi c court accepts the bar card, and if not, the ID requirements at each court house, and
2) studying the demographics of the membership, focusing on large fi rm participation and young lawyer retention. It plans to establish several programs out of that study, including one with the Maryland Public Defender’s Offi ce to provide trial experience to younger attorneys in the larger fi rms. The Committee is also working on creating a special outreach program for new admittees.
